MR. MORRISON ABU MORO
National Executive Director
Mr. Morrison Abu Moro is a prominent Ghanaian educationist, legal professional, and youth development strategist dedicated to empowering children and transforming education in Ghana. As the National Executive Director of the National Council for Children and Youth Development (NaCCYD), he leads national programs that focus on child protection, youth empowerment, leadership development, and educational enhancement. Collaborating with various stakeholders—including government agencies and private institutions—he designs impactful initiatives aimed at improving the futures of young people. Moreover, Mr. Moro serves as the Board Chairman of the Coalition of Private Schools, enhancing policy dialogue and fostering collaboration between private educational institutions and national development efforts. His past experience includes serving as a Master Trainer under the USAID/Opportunity International APIL Project, where he trained educators and supported initiatives to improve educational outcomes, particularly for underserved communities. He has also participated in significant education development efforts as a member of a Technical Working Committee for the Ministry of Education and has worked alongside USAID in monitoring and evaluation exercises.

Academically, Mr. Moro holds a diverse array of qualifications, including a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from KAAF University College, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from the University of Ghana, and a Diploma in Project Management from the Institute of Commercial Management in London. This multidisciplinary background informs his holistic approach to education, law, and development.
He is driven by a vision to create an inclusive system that fosters talent identification, nurtures potential, and empowers youth to become responsible leaders and innovators. Through his leadership at NaCCYD, Mr. Moro aims to build sustainable opportunities that inspire excellence and transform the lives of children and youth across Ghana and beyond.
AKITI EDWIN YAO
Director of Programmes & Development
Akiti Edwin Yao is an Agriculture Science graduate from the University for Development Studies with experience in agricultural extension, field research, administration, and youth development. He has worked with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Ghana Statistical Service, IPSOS, and other organizations on agricultural, research, and community development projects.
He is passionate about climate change, food security, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment. His interests include research, leadership, and promoting sustainable development through education, innovation, and effective stakeholder engagement. He also oversees all FutureStars Talent Project pillar in sports, Music & Dance, Arts, Leadership, STEM and Entrepreneurship
MR. NELSON AHO
Director of Partnerships & Corporate Affairs
Mr. Nelson Aho is a Ghanaian educationist and social development leader, serving as the Director of Partnerships & Corporate Affairs at the National Council for Children and Youth Development (NaCCYD). He specializes in partnership building, stakeholder engagement, and programme coordination to enhance child and youth development initiatives. With a strong background in education management and NGO operations, Mr. Aho has founded First Choice International School Ghana and leads Aid a Child Ghana. His initiatives include community development programmes focused on child protection and youth empowerment. Academically, he holds a Diploma in Theology and has extensive training in related fields. Mr. Aho envisions collaborative efforts among various sectors to support children’s education and well-being in Ghana.
MR. ALFRED QUAINOO
Director of Legal Affairs, Governance & Compliance
Mr. Alfred Quainoo is a prominent Ghanaian legal professional and law enforcement officer, specializing in legal compliance, governance, and child protection. As the Director of Legal Affairs at the National Council for Children and Youth Development (NaCCYD), he provides legal advisory services, strengthens governance systems, and develops policies and frameworks to ensure compliance with Ghanaian law and international standards regarding child rights. Quainoo has extensive experience in law enforcement through his work with the Ghana Police Service, where he focuses on public safety, crime prevention, and community relations. He has also served as a Security Coordinator for Ghana Youth Arise for Peace (GYPA) and as a facilitator in educational settings, promoting youth development and safety in learning environments. Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from KAAF University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from the University of Ghana. Through his multifaceted career, Quainoo has demonstrated expertise in legal analysis, compliance management, and stakeholder engagement, aiming to establish NaCCYD as a model of governance and child protection in Africa.
MR. ENOCH OSAFO WIAFE
Director of Legal Affairs, Governance & Compliance
Mr. Enoch Osafo Wiafe is a Ghanaian legal professional and law enforcement officer, serving as the Director of Legal Affairs, Governance & Compliance at the National Council for Children and Youth Development (NaCCYD). He combines extensive policing experience with academic training in law, focusing on legal governance, compliance, and child protection. Mr. Wiafe oversees legal frameworks, provides advisory support on governance and compliance to NaCCYD’s leadership, and ensures adherence to national laws. His background includes experience in the Ghana Police Service, education, and community development initiatives. He holds degrees in Economics, Psychology, and Law and emphasizes the importance of legal integrity and governance in safeguarding children and facilitating sustainable development in Ghana.
MOSES AMGORTEY TETTEH
Director of Digital Transformation, Technology & Innovation
The Director of Digital Transformation, Technology & Innovation leads the digital modernization of NaCCYD by leveraging technology to improve programme delivery, operational efficiency, child safeguarding, data management, communication, monitoring and evaluation, financial services, and stakeholder engagement.
Also leads the Digital Transformation, Technology & Innovation at NaCCYD Credit Union, ensuring our systems are secure, reliable, and built to support financial inclusion across Ghana and beyond.
With 14 years in IT operations and financial technology, he oversees our core banking systems, cybersecurity, data protection, and digital channels including mobile money, internet banking, and loan management platforms. His focus is on 99.9% system uptime, Bank of Ghana cybersecurity compliance, and protecting client data at every touchpoint.
