The National Council for Children and Youth Development (NaCCYD) has entered into a strategic partnership with Accra Technical University aimed at enhancing skills development, practical training, and educational collaboration for students across various disciplines.
The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishes a framework that will provide students of the university with valuable industry exposure through internship and industrial attachment opportunities. The initiative is designed to equip students with hands-on experience and practical skills needed to meet the evolving demands of today’s workforce.
Under the agreement, NaCCYD and ATU will work closely to strengthen the connection between academia and industry by supporting curriculum development efforts that align academic programs with industry standards and national development priorities.
The collaboration will also focus on research and community engagement projects that promote innovation, social impact, and sustainable development. Both institutions have further committed to organizing seminars, workshops, conferences, and other educational programs to encourage learning, professional growth, and knowledge exchange among students and professionals.
Officials from both institutions described the partnership as a significant milestone toward empowering young people with the opportunities, skills, and experience necessary to thrive in an increasingly competitive environment.
According to the Executive Director of NaCCYD Mr. Morrison Abu Moro, the agreement reflects a shared commitment to nurturing talent, promoting innovation, and building stronger partnerships between educational institutions and industry stakeholders for the benefit of students and society as a whole.
