The National Council for Children and Youth Development was established to serve as a national platform that brings together families, schools, communities, government institutions, development partners, faith-based organizations, corporate entities, and civil society to collectively champion the holistic development of children and youth across Ghana. Our mandate goes beyond advocacy; we are committed to creating practical, measurable, and sustainable interventions that transform lives and strengthen communities.
Our work is built upon the conviction that child and youth development must be holistic. Academic excellence alone, while essential, is not sufficient. Every child possesses unique talents, abilities, passions, and aspirations that deserve to be discovered, nurtured, protected, and celebrated. Whether a child excels in sports, leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, science, technology, music, dance, creative arts, public speaking, environmental stewardship, or community service, NaCCYD exists to provide structured opportunities for that child to grow and succeed.
Through innovative programmes such as the NaCCYD FutureStars Talent Project, leadership academies, educational support initiatives, child safeguarding campaigns, parental empowerment programmes, teacher capacity-building workshops, community outreach activities, entrepreneurship development, cultural preservation initiatives, health awareness campaigns, and youth mentorship programmes, we seek to empower children and young people to realize their full potential while remaining firmly grounded in education, discipline, integrity, patriotism, and responsible citizenship.
